Check how long the trial lasts and the exact date when a paid subscription begins. Note the time zone and whether the trial ends immediately when cancelled.
Find the price after the trial
Look for the recurring amount, billing frequency and whether taxes are included. A low introductory price may be followed by a much higher recurring charge.
Understand cancellation
Check how to cancel, whether cancellation must happen through an account or app store, and whether you receive confirmation. Keep a copy of the cancellation confirmation.
Use reminders carefully
If you decide to start a trial, set a reminder before the renewal date. Do not rely only on a reminder email from the merchant.
