Download the CheckoutLens ZIP and extract it to a folder you can find again. Keep the folder in place while you use the extension.

Ready for a second look?
CheckoutLens is currently distributed as an early-access Chrome extension. Follow these steps to load the extension locally in Chrome.
Before you start
You need the CheckoutLens project ZIP provided to you by the project owner. This page does not automatically download or install extension files.
Open Chrome extensions
In Google Chrome, enter chrome://extensions in the address bar and press Enter. Turn on Developer mode.
Load CheckoutLens
Choose Load unpacked and select the checkoutlens/extension folder inside the extracted project.
Pin and run a scan
Pin CheckoutLens from Chrome's extensions menu. Open a normal https:// shopping page, open CheckoutLens and click the scan button. Chrome settings pages and the Chrome Web Store cannot be scanned.
Something not working?
Make sure you're on a regular website, not a Chrome internal page. If you use the website store checker, the backend must also be configured and running. The basic scan is designed to work locally in your browser.
